Chamber Charms: Vibrant Strings II

    Chamber Charms: Vibrant Strings II

SCO’s very own plucked string quintet Vibrant Strings will be presenting a series of exciting plucked string and chamber music pieces. In a meeting of cultures, SCO Pipa Principal Yu Jia will be playing the sitar, an Indian instrument, for the first time in her collaboration with Indian percussionist Joe Jayaveeran on The Silent Strings. Elements of rock music and vocals will also be infused into some familiar pieces. It’s truly a musical fest not to be missed!

Programme curated by Huang Guifang, Plucked Strings Section Leader/Sanxian Principal, and Yu Jia, Pipa Principal
Artistic direction by Quek Ling Kiong, Principal Conductor
