    2001 Cultural Medallion recipient Yan Huichang is no stranger to the local music scene. This time around together with SCO, he will be serenading you with numerous Chinese orchestra pieces, new and classics alike! The concert will feature Yan Huichang’s recent masterpieces, including the Singapore premiere of Charms of Hainan and Rhapsody of String Puppets. Wang Kun, a young talented artist from Puppet Troupe of Shaanxi, China will showcase his skillful talents through the presentation of Rhapsody of String Puppets. The event will also see the first collaboration between SCO Sheng Principal Guo Changsuo and Yan Huichang as they present Kuan Nai-chung’s concerto Peacock on the 36-key sheng.

    Rating / Age Limit

    • No admission for infants in arms and children below 6 years old, even with a ticket.*
    • Children 6 years and above must purchase a ticket for entry. No admission without a valid ticket.
    • Please bring along proof of child’s age, such as a student concession pass, as random checks may be conducted at the venue.
    • We reserve the right to ask parents to bring children out of the hall should they be disruptive during the performance.

    *Except Young Children Concert: children under 6 years old will be allowed admission to this concert. Ticket required for all ages, with the exception of infant in arms.


    Late Seating Advisory

    • Please be seated 15 minutes before the performance start time.
    • There will be no admission into the venue once the performance has commenced.
    • Latecomers will only be admitted at appropriate pauses during the show or during intermission, if any.
